We support and educate clients and their families/caregivers, while also collaborating with other health professionals to to support the carryover of new skills to real-world settings.

FAQs
How do I schedule an appointment?
Email us at clinics@hsdc.org, or call us at (206) 388-1300. We require a referral from your primary care provider for initial evaluations.
Is there parking?
There is free 2-hour parking in front of our building on 19th Ave.
Do you take insurance?
Yes, we bill directly to insurance for your convenience. See our current list of insurance here (link). Please note it is your responsibility as the patient to understand your plan, including your co-pay/co-insurance, deductible, coverage for services, and benefits. Plans and network coverage vary widely by individual plan. Additionally, some insurance plans work with Third Party Payors to provide their hearing aid benefits. HSDC does not participate with Third Party Payors. If you have questions about whether we accept your insurance, please contact us at (206) 323-5770 or clinics@hsdc.org we would be happy to assist you.
What should I bring to my appointment?
Please bring your insurance card(s), form of identification (i.e., driver’s license), and completed and signed paperwork (if applicable). If you or your child uses amplification, such as hearing aids, please wear or bring them to the appointment.
What do you specialize in?
Our speech-language pathologists have additional training and clinical interests in early intervention, motor speech disorders, feeding disorders, language disorders, and fluency/stuttering. If we feel like we aren’t the best provider for you or your child’s needs, we will refer you to another provider.
How do I know if my child needs an evaluation?
Your child may need an evaluation if they are at risk for speech and language delays/disorders due to the presence of another disorder (e.g., Autism Spectrum Disorder) or family history of a speech and language delay or disorder, they are not meeting developmental speech and language milestones, or their milestones are delayed. Please contact us with further questions.

We are able to see adults on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us to inquire.
