We are a teaching
agency.
The profession of ASL interpreting is a complicated and challenging career path that has traditionally not offered much support to students once they’ve graduated from their training programs. We aim to change that.
Not only do we offer our own in-house skills screening and assessment process, we offer in-house Continuing Education customized to each individual’s needs and in response to current events. In addition, we feature internships and real-time one-on-one mentorship that can build any skills that a new interpreter might need.
We are supporting the development of interpreters and the interpreting field in ways that just can’t be found elsewhere.
Our Services
ASL Interpreting Screening
Our ASL interpreter screening service ensures that only the most qualified interpreters are selected for your needs. We conduct thorough evaluations to assess language proficiency, interpreting skills, and cultural competency, ensuring that each interpreter meets the highest industry standards. This rigorous process guarantees that the interpreters you work with are fully capable of providing accurate and effective communication.
Continuing Education (CEUs)
Our CEU program is designed to help ASL interpreters stay current with the latest developments in the field. We offer a variety of courses. These courses are available through books, videos, pop culture and current events allowing interpreters to earn the CEUs required for maintaining certifications and enhancing their professional skills. Visit our CEU Courses page for more information.
RID Testing
We conduct Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) certification exams, providing interpreters with the opportunity to achieve recognized certification. Our RID testing services are designed to meet the stringent requirements of the certification process, ensuring that candidates are evaluated thoroughly and fairly. For more details, please visit our RID Testing page.
Workshops
Our workshops offer interpreters the opportunity to deepen their knowledge and refine their skills in a collaborative learning environment. Topics range from advanced interpreting techniques and ethical practices to specialized areas such as legal or medical interpreting. Led by experienced professionals, these workshops are interactive and practical, providing valuable insights that interpreters can apply in their daily work.
Mentorship
Our mentorship program pairs emerging interpreters with experienced mentors who provide personalized guidance and support. This one-on-one relationship allows mentees to receive constructive feedback, discuss challenges, and develop their interpreting skills under the guidance of seasoned professionals. Whether you’re new to the field or looking to advance your career, our mentorship program offers the support you need to succeed. Visit our Mentorship page for more information.
